The Ashland University Jazz
Orchestra is one of the finest in Ohio. Made up of both majors
and non-majors, it performs for concerts and campus events throughout the year. It hosts
the
annual Jazz Fest which invites outstanding high school jazz ensembles to perform
and work with some of the finest professional jazz musicians in the country. This
ensemble tours annually and members must audition. Small jazz combos are
also found as schedules allow. The Jazz
Orchestra and Jazz Combos are
directed by
Dr. Scott Garlock, Associate Professor
of Music.
